Dear Parent/ Student,

Welcome to Carlow Vocational School, whether you are beginning your secondary life with us or finishing your final year at Leaving Certificate we wish you well as you commence another year of study.

Education is not just about the acquisition of knowledge, it is also about the formation of the entire person. It is our aim at Carlow Vocational School to ensure that our students are not only academically qualified to meet the challenges of today’s world, but also that you mature into responsible adults with a developed sense of vocation. We want you to be happy while learning in an atmosphere of friendship and respect.

We acknowledge the primary role of parents/guardians in the education of their children. We maintain a close relationship with your parents/guardians through the Parents’ Association, the Home School Liaison teacher and parent teacher meetings. In addition parents/ guardians are always welcome to visit the school to discuss your progress.

The success of any school depends ultimately on the quality and experience of the staff. Parents can be assured that the staff at Carlow Vocational School are totally committed to the education and welfare of all the children in their care. Your education is not only about learning, but also about the development of you as an entire person.

Yours sincerely, Markita Mulvey Principal
